In this clinic we will explore TRUE PARTNERSHIP & FOUNDATIONS of good horsemanship rooted in:
Education: Understanding how the horse perceives the world and what you are communicating (or not communicating) to your horse/s.
Horse as Mirror: Recognition of how your emotional state affects the horse, how this can play out, and what to do about it. Responding, versus reacting. Holding a space of calm, rather than feeding a drama.
Head versus heart. We will explore how to work with a soft feel with your horse/s. What it looks like when you are coming from your head (pure skill) and when you are coming from your heart (instinct/feel)
Be the Peace: We will explore the importance of being the space of Peace for your horse and how to attain this.
You can have all the knowledge in the world, but do you have your horse's TRUST?
Horses are the primary teachers. We often only act as translator. And always student.
We will work with participants as a group, and one on one. Spectators will have time for questions, and interaction.
The horse has taught me some very important lessons. One of which, is that humans often approach them with EGO because of FEAR. They then try to CONTROL and dominate, because of FEAR. People are afraid of their power. They don't embody their own. Thus a cycle continues that is out of balance. Sound familiar?
This plays out in our world all around us.
Horses are here to connect, and show us how to walk in our sovereign 'power' if you will because that is how they hold themselves when they are not being meddled with by the human ego.
They also carry a great deal of LOVE. And that is where the healing happens.
On a basic level, a true connection rooted in understanding with your horse, is quite simply safer for both of you, than one rooted in fear and control. You move as one unit, able to tackle any perceived challenges together, and grow together, and that is the beauty of being the peace with your horse.
