For attendees who have completed both Walking With Horse Medicine classes.
Practicing the Way of the Horse
This immersion is designed for returning students who are ready to move beyond learning concepts and into embodied practice.
Together we will explore what it means to hold space in the presence of horses, develop facilitation skills, strengthen relational awareness, and deepen our understanding of herd wisdom through direct experience.
Students will work with both the horses and members of the public, practicing one-on-one and group experiences while receiving feedback, support, and mentorship throughout the weekend.
All attended hours may be applied toward Working Student hours for those pursuing certification.
Day One — One-on-One Practice with the Herd
Friday | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Welcome, orientation, and overview
• Classroom teaching and discussion
• Review of core principles from Walking With Horse Medicine
• Introduction to facilitation structure and relational safety
• One-on-one practicum sessions with volunteer participants from the public
• Students rotate through observation, support, and facilitation roles
• Group reflection and integration
Day Two — Group Facilitation Practice
Saturday | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Morning classroom session
• Group leadership principles and container building
• Holding space for multiple participants
• Practicum with volunteer groups from the public
• Students take turns leading portions of the experience
• Feedback, reflection, and integration
• Closing circle
Day Three — Integration and Completion
Sunday | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Review and integration of the weekend
• Questions and discussion
• Personal strengths and growth edges
• Certification pathway overview
• Individual next steps and practice recommendations
• Closing circle and completion ceremony

This weekend is less about learning from a book and more about learning through relationship.
The horses remain our greatest teachers.
