Walking With Horse Medicine
Phase 2
Becoming Herd: Embodied Partnership, Unique Medicine, and Inviting Others In
4-week online immersion
(with optional in-person integration weekend)
Of note**** this is the introductions into this work, an entry point and place to inspire forward movement, not a replacement for an in-depth certification program. I will be launching a year long program this June that will be a certification program. This is an introduction.
Phase 2 is for the student who has begun the foundations and now feels the deeper call:
To stop “working with horses” from the outside… and begin belonging with them from the inside.
This is where your nervous system learns the language of the herd.
This is where you stop performing leadership… and become it.
This is where you learn to partner with horses in a way that is unique to you, deeply attuned, and unmistakably embodied.
In this four-week journey, you’ll learn how to merge with your herd field, follow your instincts with clarity,
and begin inviting other humans into that field in a way that is safe, ethical, grounded, and powerful.
Who This Is For
Phase 2 is designed for people who:

Who This Is For
Phase 2 is designed for people who:
- have completed Phase 1 (or have a strong foundation working with horses)
- want to deepen their intuitive partnership and embodied leadership
- feel called to facilitate healing experiences with horses (formally or informally)
- want to learn how to invite others into the herd space without over-functioning
- are ready to stop “trying to do it right” and start trusting their own medicine
What You’ll Learn (The Big Transformation)
By the end of Phase 2, you will:
- understand how to enter the herd field and be received by it
- know how to work with horses through feel + timing + presence, not control
- build trust in your unique style of leadership and partnership
- learn how to create a safe, clear container for another human near horses
- practice guiding experiences that are emotionally intelligent and grounded
- feel what it means to be co-regulated by the herd and lead from that place
Phase 2 Curriculum (4 Weeks)
Week 1 — Entering the Herd Field: From Observer to Belonging
Theme: “I am not outside the herd. I am in relationship with it.”
The difference between watching horses and being with horses
- How to enter a herd space in a way that creates trust and clarity
- Reading the herd’s “yes / no / not yet”
- Nervous system cues: collapse, fawn, force, freeze (and how they show up around horses)
- Practice: Herd entry ritual + coherence + boundaries
- Integration: simple daily “herd listening” practice
Week 2 — Your Unique Horse Medicine: Instinct, Style, and Signature
Theme: “I stop copying. I start becoming.”
This week is about you.
Not what everyone else says is right. Not the performance. Not the rules.
- Identifying your natural way of partnering (soft power vs. directive, stillness vs. movement)
- The “Medicine Horse” method: presence → request → response → integration
- How your emotional field impacts horses (and how to work with that)
- Developing your “signature”: the way horses respond to you specifically
- Practice: one horse, one intention, one truth
- Integration: reflective journaling + embodied debrief
Week 3 — Co-Creation: Partnership, Leadership, and Being Merged With the Herd
Theme: “Leadership is relationship.”
This is where it becomes less about technique… and more about field leadership.
Herd leadership vs. human dominance
- How to hold a coherent field when the horse is emotional, shut down, pushy, or uncertain
- Working with distance: the power of invitation
- When to approach, when to pause, when to release
- Practice: The Invitation Sequence
- Integration: “earned closeness” and how trust is built in layers
Week 4 — Inviting Others In: Holding Space With Horses (Safely + Ethically)
Theme: “I trust people to locate their inner guidance and find their way"
This is the bridge between your personal partnership and your ability to include another human in the work.
- How to introduce a client/student/friend into the herd field
- Safety + structure: what to watch for and how to intervene calmly
- Emotional processing: allowing feelings without making it dramatic
- The difference between being supportive vs. being responsible for someone’s experience
- Creating a simple, repeatable session structure:
Arrival → Intention → Herd Entry → Reflection → Integration - Practice: Facilitation script + container design
- Integration: boundaries, aftercare, and nervous system completion
