Communication & the Art of Relating
Lander, Wyoming
In this module we will be on a 100+ acre ranch in Lander, Wyoming with rolling hills, open spaces, and a herd of 10+ horses roaming freely of all different shapes, sizes, personalities, and the wide-open range of FREEDOM.
Learning to meet with horses in a natural environment, in open space, not forced, or encouraged interaction, but the pure space emanating between our hearts. This is a beautiful journey into the world of the horse in a sacred environment.
There is a sensitivity and surrender that is being called from within us to be able to embody our own leadership whilst moving in the moment with what is unfolding with a herd of 1000lb beings who are instinctually guided by life itself. It is an invitation into a deeper embodiment, one which horses are revealing to us moment to moment, and inviting us to just step into the arena of awareness with them.
We will be exploring in group, dyads, and 1:1 hands-on learning:

- How to communicate to horses, as well as WHAT you are communicating via: Body language, energetic language, emotional congruency, nervous system, heart coherence, and more. We will explore the very obvious and foundational pieces to equine communication, as well as the deeper, more subtle nuanced communications, that inevitably invite us into a deeper understanding of ourselves. This is at the heart of this module.
- Herd dynamics, how horses communicate, and what leadership looks like in a horse community.
- How to enter into the horse herd, embody your leadership, while honoring the horse's individual leadership and herd leadership.
- How horses respond to you. What it means, and why.
- How horses respond to your clients, friends, other horses, what it means, and how to navigate these spaces.
- How you communicate with yourself, life itself, personal relationships, and how this ripples out into your horse dynamics.
- Understanding what others are bringing into an arena, being mindful of creating a space for self awareness, embodied leadership, and holding a container within your own being, your herd, and when you invite others into this space.
- Recognizing when a horse is communicating that it does not want to engage, or be part of a group experience.
- Honoring the horses' needs, rhythms, and communications.
- A deeper understanding into the relationship you have with the world around you through the reflection of the horses.
